According to Favoritism Theory, beginning from the moment of birth, every child is emotionally preoccupied with Favoritism. The ensuing behavioral result of the struggle for favoritism is Sibling Rivalry. This premise is similar to one that was put forth in the 1900’s by Alfred Adler, a colleague of Freud.
